Well this is ridiculous- I’ve got the airconditioning on while I’ve got 2 Hotteeze on a leg wrap on my gluts and 2 on my bum!

How long do shoulders take to heal?
Every night it feels sore but in the day, I put a couple of Hotteeze on and don’t notice it…it’s been 6 weeks!
I tried stretching out on a ball but it still catches and feels funny>GGGRRRR snowboarders!!!!

Well it’s been over 4 weeks since a bloody snowboarder slammed into me and sent me flying on to my shoulder on some hard packed ice. It still hurts at night (when I can’t sleep with a heatpack) but it’s 80% better- will I be skiing this weekend? I doubt it. Still some sudden movements send pain shooting but I’ve been getting shiatsu massage, having hot baths and using Hotteeze on my arm- I feel like my tendons have got hard and tight so heat seems to loosen them up. I’ve been doing Pilates twice a week which hasn’t helped or hindered the healing- just kept me in shape for when I ski again!!

Here I am in 5 degree temperature, proudly belting out the Australian National Anthem 10.2.09 at the Yokohama Stadium soccer match between Japan and Australia. There were 65,000 fans there so it was a great honour to stand in front of such a crowd.
You might be able to see my Hotteeze for Feet poking out from my sandals..sandals with wedges that don’t dig into the grass hence the need for Hotteeze. And one Hotteeze between my shoulder blades! That dress is pretty unforgiving but no one suspected my warm Hotteeze keeping me from seizing up from nerves + cold!

I’ve been skiing quite a bit and taking a few tumbles in the Gunma powder but last Sunday it was icy and hard and I came a cropper after a very polite snowboarder bashed me over..
Oh did I howl!! Bawled for 5 minutes which was punishment I hope for the myriad bloody boarders who just cannot help but hit into skiers.
I did get a free ride on a snow mobile- Cool! And then had two days of ice treatment- but today am sporting a Hotteeze on my shoulder to try and wean myself of the ibuprofen. My Physio says it’ll be okay in a couple of weeks- now I’m trying to practice what I’ll do the next time I get run over- I hear in Canada they take the pass away from the basher…mmm I think that might make some boarders and skiiers more careful!

Hotteeze have now been spied in Wholefoods in NYC and..”at my favorite (very local) fruit and vegetable stand in Sebastopol (Andy’s Market)!” in California!!
I wish I’d thought to send some Hotteeze to Obama and Oprah on January 21st!! I was watching, snuggled up on my couch in Japan thinking- those poor darlings!! They should have 4 hotteeze on front and 4 on their back and in their shoes- NO HATS!!
Only Aretha and a few people had the good sense to cover their pates and keep the heat in

More tips for winter health…
Well I LOVE the nasal cleansing pot. As a singer and voiceover artist, hurking and sniffing in the studio at 10am and constantly clearing the back of my throat of nasal drip- not good!
Now as my kettle boils in the morning, I have my morning lemon juice and warm water, the the neti pot- with the right amount of salt so it’s comfortable- then my Nature’s cuppa organic loose leaf tea, made in a pot with TWO tea cosy’s to keep it warm!
I’m ready to give a good voice over even though it’s early- I wish I’d discovered this years ago.

Here I am with hunky Australian Chef Greg Doyle- and no one could tell I’ve got a Hotteeze slapped on me guts under my posh dress to keep me looking warm and glamourous on a cold night!

In October I was given a nasal cleansing pot from Scott at Lotus- actually I asked him for it- sounds like a weird gift eh! I’ve been using it now for a month and I LOVE IT!
I’m a singer and voice over artist and when I have a studio job before 2pm, once I’m in the studio I’m herking and coughing and blowing my nose now that I have headphones on and a mike catching every little..well ’nuff said!
Using the nasal pot can feel uncomfortable some days and excruiating others- but I’m persevering because it feels so good afterwards!
NOTE “ If you are experiencing any stinging or excruciating feeling, that probably means you need to use a little more salt in your solution and/or make sure the temperature is warm (not cold or hot) to the touch. you can get more details on exactly how to use this athttp://ancientsecretsnasalcleansing.wordpress.com and/or http://www.ancient-secrets.com
Thanks for that comment- yep I wasn’t using enough salt- now I use a half a teaspoon and am using the nasal cleanser every day without any discomfort!
How does this relate to winter colds? Keeping your nasal passages moist is essential in fighting off viruses. Irrigating them with a nasal pot means they won’t be clogged with dry snot- there I said it!
So Neti pots- I’m a fan!

Well it’s starting to get chilly in Tokyo and today, despite my haramaki (gutwarmer) I STILL felt a cold sensation over my belly so mid morning I slapped a Hotteeze on there. Yesterday one of my colleagues left work with a sore throat. He’d been sucking Coldeze- a great zinc remedy for preventing colds- and today is feeling better, but with some studio gigs coming up this week I couldn’t afford to get sick! Now I’ve also stuck some Hotteeze for feet in me shoes..
